STEM Camp 4-5: Mission to Mars
Summer Science
In an epic science and engineering adventure, students will work together to design and carry out a crewed mission to Mars. They will learn about velocity, acceleration, planets, rockets, and gravity in order to plot a route across the Solar System. They will learn about life support systems, solar flares, and the psychological challenges of space – and design a ship to carry humans across interplanetary space. Working with engaging simulations, students will build their teamworking skills, conduct experiments, analyze results, learn from their mistakes, and then take the ultimate risk by attempting a journey to Mars!
This two-week course meets Monday through Friday for three hours each day.
Space is very limited for our summer programs. Please do not wait until the last minute to enroll. If there are more than two weeks before the course starts, a $200 deposit will be due when enrolling, with the balance due two weeks before the course begins.
